Waikiki is on the Southern end of Oahu to the East. It is probably the most well know beach in the world. If your staying on Oahu you will most certainly be in the Honolulu - Waikiki area and will be within walking distance of Waikiki Beach. Waikiki Beach is next to the famous Diamond Head crater, one of the most well known vistas in the world. Waikiki Beach is a white sand beach and is ideal for beginner surfing lessons. Many of the most desirable hotels of Hawaii are located on the beach front of Waikiki. These include the Royal Hawaiian, the Sheraton Waikiki, Sheraton Moana Surfrider, and the Outrigger Waikiki. The Honolulu - Waikiki area is also the center of nightlife in Hawaii with its clubs, restaurants, and entertainment shows.
