Lanai Island was once the largest pineapple plantation in the world. It was completely owned by Dole Foods. But today Lanai has developed into a secluded, exclusive resort area. While there not a lot of resorts here, there quality is extreme high when you consider how secluded they are from "normal" Hawaii.
